Well denphone unless teams start to tour Pakistan again we may well have to as this is Pakistans home gorund to all intents and purposes.

After the tests England have 4 ODI and and 3 20/20 matches on the same couple of grounds v Pakistan .:erm:

Then England move on to Sri Lanka for 2 test matches on this showing Englands batsmen will seriously have to up their game for them.

Yes lets look forward to the summer.:D

If Cook & Straus get set in, I don't think 325 is ungettable. Especially with 2 days left.

I'm not celebrating just yet.

Its not ungettable but looking at Englands form thus far unlikely in my view England will have to play far more confidently then they have particularly with DRS in use, down the order Pietersen has a problem with spin, and Bell looks out of sorts, and Morgan as good a player as i think he is seemingly has issues at this test level though i would love him to come good.

There is lots of time left certainly but even if cook and Strauss get in farther down the order the colly wobbles will appear ,I hate to say this but the bowling has been good so far,but the batters just lack confidence that only a big innings from somebody could restore, have England got the fight left to save the 3rd test we shall see.:)

Just as i predicted an England collapse.! in the 2nd innings.

I was right to predict Saff the white flag was indeed being tied to the pole,i have watched England long enough to know when thier heads are down.

Well done to the England bowlers though several times they put us in with a chance of winning, only for the batsmen to fluff it.:(

England team director Andy Flower has warned his batsmen that selection is "not a closed shop" following the series whitewash by Pakistan.

England managed to make more than 200 only twice on the way to a 3-0 defeat.

Flower told BBC Sport: "There is a point where it would be stupid to continue along the same path.

"I don't think we're there with these players. This is not a closed shop, but this group of batsmen have done an outstanding job for England."

Use accessible player and disable flyout menusEngland believed their own hype - Michael Vaughan
The tourists' main struggles in Dubai and Abu Dhabi came against Pakistan's spin bowlers, with Saeed Ajmal, Abdur Rehman and Mohammad Hafeez taking 48 wickets between them.

"You don't always succeed, and when that is the case it can create some doubts," Flower added. "The best players come through those moments of doubt."

To be honest i do not think in these conditions they have worked out how to play him they look none too confident.

250-260 is the best i think that we are heading for

Which may be competitive but remember we have mostly seamers not spinners so the work load for Swann and Patel will be a biggie.

Ok well done Finn, well done England. You batted well, slightly helped by Pakistan using up their reviews after 3 overs and some howlers by the umpires. pakistan were never in it batting though.

But let's hold our breaths. Is it a 5 or 3 match series? And isn't the test series what real cricket is all about ;) lol.

Yes Saaf the unpires had a topsy turvy day yesterday alright with some howlers.:erm:

Funny old game England were undone by spin, and Pakistan largely by pace the pitches in the UAE seem to take both.

4 ODIs and three 20/20 games in the one day series Pakistan could get their revenge as early as tomorrow.

Test cricket is real cricket but so is the 50 over game as well, the 20/20 is the micky mouse stuff.:D

I shall be at work tomorrow as the match unfolds but i shall keep up with the score looks like the ODIs might be more competitive for England after the drubbing in the tests but i hate to speak too soon.;)

:D:D

To be honest I love one dayers (50 overs and t20s) as much as I do Test Cricket. I am enjoying Test Cricket more and more because we're seeing results (as opposed to bore draws), and teams actually able to force results more often nowadays. I think each form of the game requires a different skill set, so I'd never seriously favour one over the other in terms of what is real cricket or not.

I love T20. And I think it's actually good for the game in terms of drawing in a new audience.

I think Pakistan will put more of a fight tomorrow - well here's hoping!

194 / 3..... cook done on 100!

Keep it tight for last 10 overs, restrict England to 240.... And we have a game on our hands!

Yes if the England bowling that was on display monday turns up again today Pakistan will be in trouble and Saaf will be :bigcry::bigcry: Again.

If not and Pakistan go for it and Farhat and Hafeez look as though they mean buisiness then then its a gettable target i am hoping for an early wicket or two.:)
