They are probably calling time on letting this bending of the rules slide to help alleviate the upcoming BBC3 EPG issue. They just need an excuse to shunt London Live to complete the job.

So is BBC3 expected to go on 117?

I wonder if this will mean that Reality TV will no longer want to use them to simulcast their programming, seeing as their own channel will now have a better EPG slot.

I was speculating re:BBC3. It might not go there, it certainly couldn't in every part of UK, but if it's empty it can be used indirectly in some areas.

The Reality TV simulcast will still be more prominent on DTT compared to its own channel on that platform, even it's no longer in a better position on Satellite.

Does anybody with VM know if (on Ch159) they show the version that shows content from 6 areas that Satellite broadcasts or the single content versions that are shown on Digital Terrestrial?

Liverpool TV is listed on Digital Bit Rate: https://www.digitalbitrate.com/dtv.p...&sec=0&lang=en

And base on the listing it look like Virgin Media are broadcasting Liverpool TV using Digital Terrestrial.

Some right compelling viewing right there

Is it really any wonder these local channels are dropping like flies.

Maybe they should look to try to get onto cable as it would given them access to more viewers.

I doubt it would be worth it. I mean honestly, who watches them even if they can receive these channels?

Correct, there's a big enough load of bollox on the TV as it is.

I did until that's TV took over from STV 2 in 2018, now it on channel 56 on my freeview TV after all entertainment and music channels that broadcast in my area.

They are on cable but still don't have many viewers. It's all about content.

I'm assuming you've customised your Freeview channel order as That's TV Scotland is on Ch8, That's TV Gold on Ch91, and Ch56 is home to Smithsonian Channel.

Yes. I have got an Channel number free for BBC Three.

HD Channels comes first on my TV with BBC One on Channel 101. And Channel 5 +1 on Channel 105.

It was my late dad's TV Set.

Someone has posted elsewhere that the 21 October date for the BBC1 regions going HD has partly arisen because this will be happening on VM. Has anyone heard anything about this or seen any tests?

They didn't specifically say that this would be from 21/10/21 on VM.

BBC1 regions are listed as set to launch in HD on the Sky Glass TV EPG (See the Sky Glass thread for more info)

Still to see info on them testing on Virgin Media.

Good point - I don't, but I might watch the local news bulletins if That's TV's local channel was to appear on VM.

Absolutely, but they're only available in a very small number of areas.
