A busy morning with a hospital appointment with several tests needing to be done.:(

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Good luck den, I'm at the hospital later with a relative for their rapid access chest pain clinic. Even though it has taken nearly a month for the appointment. I had to chase the NHS trust on Twitter to get it resolved.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Good luck today for your relative Mark and l hope everything will be alright for them.

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
@ den good luck for today.
@ Mark wishing your relative all the best at the chest pain clinic. @ mrmistoffelees hope your not in too much discomfort with your back today and things are improving for you. |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Well they saw me as soon as l arrived at 8.15 this morning and all the tests are done for today so part 2 is tomorrow when a community cardiac specialist nurse visits me at home and then part 3 is a return to the hospital on Thursday.:)

Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
Oh dear den, hope no new bad news.
As for my Nan, got there at five past 12, had her ECG and BP done about quarter past 12, was called in at 20 to 1, and we were down at the bus stop by about 10 past 1. Consultant thinks it is all muscular, not anything worse thankfully. Apparently though, one of the valves is either leaky or tight, so she needs to have an ultrasound, and if that is fine then just yearly visits to keep an eye on her. Will be leaving some glowing feedback for the trust this afternoon. So a lot better than I feared this morning, and hopefully the ultrasound won't lead to her needing an angiogram. |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
l am glad that it looks like there is nothing even worse for your Nan Mark and hopefully the ultrasound will show nothing sinister either.
l always knew it would be a plethora of appointments this week Mark as it was my aim to shoehorn then all into the same week with a bit of luck as we will be visiting my parents at the end of the month up the line and touch wood hopefully the results will show at least things are as stable as they can be with my ongoing conditions. |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
That all sounds very positive mark. I am sure that if the Consultant had any doubts about his diagnosis or that the valve problem was of any major consequence then he would be fast forwarding the ultrasound. On the plus side she will end up having heart check ups at the best possible place which should mean any deterioration in the condition of her heart is picked up at an earlier stage.
@ Den. From the smillie after your post I am hoping that to-day went well and that you have hopes of a similar out come tomorrow and Thursday. :) |
Re: Moans and Pet Hates part 8
I don't blame you den, make sense to arrange it all like that.
Apparently, I didn't know this, chemotherapy can damage the heart! |
