Indeed as Mignolet in my book has several weaknesses and distribution is one of them.

Whilst I think they over paid...if Man utd are happy paying it,...it is for them to say.

Reading newspaper articles about United over the past month has made me laugh, journalists at first saying the squad needs investment and won't compete unless they spend money. Then when they spend money the same journalists write articles saying that the club have panicked and are trying to buy their way back to the top. Olliver Holt at the mirror is one of the worst:

Criticises them for not spending money and then critcises when they do, its poor journalism just trying to wind people up. I still don't believe buying a world class player that will definitely improve your squad can ever be considered a panic buy.

I think the criticism that might be justified, is why they didn't strengthen defence.

The quality they are looking for is not currently available , wanted vemalen (went to barca) , hummells (not for sale) , mangala ( went to man city). I'm sure they're going to spend again in January on defenders if the correct man is available.

Both are first choice at international level, i'm willing to let them play a few games for us at least before passing judgement.
