According to "The Sun" Rooney wants to go to Old Trafford, but we will see later today if anything will happen, by noon I think.

Edit: Tomorrow is the deadline, not noon today

There's nothing like a bit of good news to cheer me up of a monring !!

I thought he'd done an excellent job so far this season - although, he coulda done a bit better and had them bottom

Bring back Gullitt, thats all I can say ;)

Seems if anyone dares to drop mary poppins, they get the boot

I don't think Dyer helped with his recent outburst, I am sure if he had done that to Ferguson or Wenger, he would have been shown where the door was.

Re: [Merged] - Football talk

i think this was always on the cards when they said Robson would go at the end of the season.

What I can't understand is why when they already have a poor defence did they sell their best defender just before the transfer deadline with no one else lined up ?

I think Rooney won't go to Newcastle now as their is no manager to tell him how he will fit into the team etc

Re: [Merged] - Football talk

I don't think he would've signed for them anyway - I think Man U would've just upped the newcastle offer, and beat newcastles wage offer.

And like you say, the strikeforce isn't where they need to be strenghening, its the defence, so I cant understand why they're after him

0-0 with Everton at home and Arsenal beat them 4-1 away.

hope we get Rooney, least we'll play some exciting football again.

Robson is a manager who i hold in high regard so this is really sad, wish their was a way to e-mail him support :(

Wenger and Sir Alex are both highly respected and secure in their jobs. Wenger has made arsenal what it is today, new stadium, world class (and cheap!) team, broken records, a lovely team to watch :D so they are a lot more secure
