Not sure about that. On their current economic model, they thrive on being a substantial proportion of the world's manufacturing output. Then there's their political agenda which feeds their manufacturing agenda. There probably is an economic model that they could develop that doesn't take Europe or the USA into account, but that will need transition, time and a non-restive public. |

Sounds like he’s trying to create a loophole to allow iPhones into the country tariff free whilst levying bigly on everything else. I wish I’d been a fly on the wall in the Oval Office when Tim Cook called to school him on exactly what his plans were about to do to Apple.

I put the tariffs on, on Wednesday. Took them off again on Thursday except for China. I doubled them on China on Friday. And on Saturday and Sunday too. I exempted tech goods on Monday. Said it was only temporary on Tuesday. |
