I personally just ditched the Sky Premium channels but only as I wasn't watching them so I'm not sure if that would suit you. Vote with your feet, IMO Virgin are becoming too expensive for what they offer. Another step I took to reduce my bill was paying my phone line rental up front for £120 which saves a few £ P/M.

At the moment BT can only offer 66Mbps download speed but once they hit over 100Mbps I will be off completely as my loyalty remains with the savings in my wallet. Mrs Firmsky likes the TiVo but IMO the TV is becoming too expensive for what they offer compared to Sky.

TiV0 is still lacking in their biggest selling points, MRS and the iPad app. Once you can MRS most of the channels and watch the recordings via the VM app they'll be onto a winner.

yeh that's pretty much all we watch is sky sports etc... so not option.

Defo going to give them a ring. Internet doesn't bother me as very rarely get above 20mbps even on this 100mb internet.

While I agree that the price should be no different, I hardly think that 0.5% constitutes a rip off!

I mean't the fact that it is now £114.55 when it was £90something only 18months ago.

Well, we decided today to ditch VM for Sky, they are now becoming expensive to have, and when my wife called them to complain they did not care.

They told her that there is no longer any retention deals, and that they would have given her the channels she wanted.

When the CS agent said about taking channels off, he mentioned take sports off, to save money. VM did not care one bit. We also got Sky cheaper than VM, we have kept the phone as it is good.

It really does depend on who you get, I called and to be honest they couldn't have been nicer, we agreed a new price and my monthly bill has come down by £6, and I got an upgrade on my landline. Having checked Sky website theres no way in my case they are cheaper. I would have to pay more a month and get less capable DVR's.

Passinbat, My wife received a bill of £137.00 and she called them as our normal monthly bill including phone calls is £60/70.per month
She was told that this bill includes an increase from December.

She asked what price it has now gone up and and was told £85.00 per month for the XL plus phone.

He said that he could not give a deal as we were on one, VM are making a mockery of customers, one CS agent tells you one thing and someone else tells you something different.

We can get a better deal from Sky, and we have we are now better off by £20 and we will get more channels.

Yes, the phone will stay the same, if we went to BT, the costs would be horrible as we have had BT before.

All depends if you mean two agents tell you different things about the same account or whether two agents tell two different people things about their own accounts.

Sometimes its 100% correct that you are on the best deal VM can offer for the services you have.

Maybe you could list your services for Phone BB and TV, number of S T Boxes etc and the price for your services, excluding extra phone call charges that are extra to those included with your phone plan. They should be shown separately on your bill.
