Agreed, I only have Sports and Â£7 is a hell of a lot to pay for 2 HD channels.

The more concerning thing is that if someone has 2 HD boxes it will cost them Â£34.50/month for 4 SD channels, 2 of which will never be watched and 2 HD channels :shocked:

The only way for VM to drop/lower this charge is for us as consumers to not sign up to it. This will force them to re-think the pricing structure assuming Sky had no say in it during the recent negotiations

Unfortunately there will always be people with more money than sense and go for it just because its the latest thing.

This where i think virgin made the boo boo instead off saying hd for free it would have been better to say we will do a hd pack all for Â£7 excluding bbc hd,itv hd,ch4 hd and five hd which would be free.Then doing additional boxes at Â£5 or Â£7 per box.But i am going to wait for official announcement on pricing and see what happens but at this moment in time at the speculated price no thanks ill stick with the free ones.

I can only assume that part of the recent Sky-VM deal means that VM must do embrace the HD charge per box, otherwise VM would look insanely great value for money compared to Sky, and Sky won't allow that.

In January I can see my bill going above Â£100 a month. Its currently at 80 odd pound.
