Good luck Altis. Hope you can get it sorted (or at least under control) before the next weather front comes through.

According to the met office there's more on the way for Wednesday and Thursday. Hopefully it'll be a case of them getting it very wrong again although they use the "moderate risk" disclaimer as their get out of jail free card.

We were out walking in Shropshire on Sunday and there were still remnants of some deep drifts and ice/slush on the roads above 300masl.

Grr, after a few days of not having to spend ages clearing the car, it was icy this morning.

I wouldn't mind but it was really thin ice and the scraper wasn't getting it off. And my car takes a decade to heat up, it's only a 15 min drive

Met Office Advisory of Heavy Snow for Wales valid from 1207 Sat 30 Jan to 2359 Sat 30 Jan
http://bit.ly/a2Ih8l

"Sleet and snow showers affecting western parts on Saturday evening become widespread across Wales overnight, continuing into Sunday morning. With temperatures falling below freezing there is a risk of widespread ice on untreated roads and pavements. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to Traffic Wales for further advice on road conditions."

Woke up this morning to a thin white blanket over everything. It's all melting fast but I still managed to spin the van on the way into work this morning - ooops!

Huge great lumps falling down now here in Runcorn with a big white carpet forming outside.

Typical, we're off to Pitlochry tomorrow. I hope we get there in one piece!

I'm sat watching my car going white. The snow is settling down onto damp ground, doesn't bode well as it's due to freeze again to-night.

More snow indeedy, the 24hr forecast says it's coming down even more heavily at 6

Snowing on and off since about 3 o'clock this afternoon ... currently more on than off. And it's landing on last night's hard frost, which never had a chance to thaw today ...

... and still going strong. About 3 inches lying now, and no sign of a gritter within 15 miles of here (which was a bit hairy, as I had to go out in it this evening).

Well, this morning the school bus driver swapped his Transit for a Land Rover, and he still couldn't get through. So there are three excited children putting their wellies on in the hall, and we're about to start building our first snowman of the winter. :D

I'm supposed to be up your way october time I hope it's not like this when I'm there.

Re: [Merged] Snow!

Not very likely, October's either dry and sunny, or very wet and windy, depending on exactly when autumn decides to start. Either way it's not especially cold. Whereabouts are you going?
