Nice to see these two companies co-operating these days. Does anyone know when VM's contract with Sky comes up for renewal? Is it some time in 2018?

l know what you are thinking but please don't go there again OB.:nono:

You are such a pessimist, Den!

You will be pleased to note that I am not in an argumentative mood today!

UPDATE: The answer, it seems, is that Sky's carriage deal with Virgin Media comes up for renewal in 2019. I doubt we will get any UHD channels or on demand material from Sky before then, sadly. But it does give Sky the initial exclusivity they want.

TiVo has an update last night about 2.45am in MB HQ.

We have found an "From" on top of a channel logo in My Shows has been added.

Well, that's not surprising, really. In a few days, you will have forgotten about Blaze, too. Both very forgettable additions to our channel line up, but hey, I'm sure that Mr K is happy!

So far, video / audio streams have been added for BBC Red Button HD and BBC Red Button 2 & 3.

The migration of services from Transport Stream 1 to TS 104 was completed with PVR_EPG, INTACC, ITV VoD logo, Ch4 VoD logo & Ch5 VoD logo moving from SIDs 106, 114. 115, 116 & 121 to SIDs 10441, 10442, 10446, 10447 & 10448. (Just more musical chairs / internal housekeeping).

Brit Asia TV has appeared on Transport Stream 19 SID 1911 with an assigned channel number of 840. Video and audio were present. (Testing on 5 internal VM networks).

KMTV Made for Kent has also been added on regional Transport Stream 101 SID 10157 with an assigned EPG channel number of 159 on VMs internal network: "Code Download Test (Portsmouth)".

Thanks for info.

Too right OB. Don't know how anyone can complain about having an extra film channel. Those that don't subscribe to Sky movies have been sold a bit short by VM in recent years.

As for Blaze, not my cup of tea. But the more options the better to keep everyone happy. If only we could have a crap channel button to block out channels we're not interested in. I'd be blocking about 90% of them.

You have - set up the ones you want under favourites then you only need to look through them on the EPG.

I think an option to turn on SD channels where there is a HD or 4k option would be handy ok HD

I would prefer an option to hide them. :)

I think BLAZE is actually a fairly worthwhile addition, for all of us that aren't on the Full House package. We don't get History, Crime + Investigation or Lifetime so this channel provides a selection of content from those channels. It is also a Freeview channel so it's only right that it should be provided on Virgin Media.

Fair enough, if this brings some new programming into the lower packages.

Stumbled upon this article about Insight TV's UHD/HDR Progress.

"We are also in discussion with Virgin Media and the option to offer the SVoD service in UHD looks promising. We remain hopeful!”

https://www.ibc.org/delivery/insight...h/1995.article

Could it be included in a package? or is that wishful thinking lol
