Carroll put a decent shift in last night and considering it's the first full game he's played since Christmas and only the second game he's been involved in the lad's done well. His striking partner had a very, very poor game as did the rest of the team.

Liverpool's net spend has been relatively low this season so the money buying trophies shot isn't applicable.

Its a really intresting draw. All 4 teams that are playing the second leg at home are very strong at home, especially Shakhtar. Theres a good possibility of an upset in my opinion. Its a shame two English sides were drawn together, but i'm confident :)

To be honest It's nice that some things don't change. We lost the last game against WBA in part because of his tendency to run out of his goal and then stand there stunned when he realizes what he has done. He does this quite a lot, good shot stopper but rubbish at everything else. He has run out of his goal a lot of times, he has no control of this area and instills panic in his defense and he fluffs at corners and crosses. I think he has blackouts when he runs out and suddenly wakes up when he is near the half way line.
