Why don't they do promos like this any more?

That would definitely boost PPV buys :erm:

Oscar De La Hoya and FOX where so impressed with Jim Ross' boxing play by play debut that he'll be doing it on a regular basis going forward. Here's a sample of how Ross got on for anyone who's interested.

That's good but I won't be happy until I hear the words "Bah gawd almighty!! What a slobberknocker!!" or "beaten like a government mule" :D

Personally I'd prefer "Bah gawd, he is broken in half!" :)

I am disgusted with WWE that they stood by the old drunk Flair and got rid of JR. WWE has never been the same since he stopped commentating. I mean don't get me wrong, Michael Cole is OK but he is never going to be JR.

Best all time team has to be Gorilla and Bobby Heenan though. True chemistry, never been replicated since.

Anyone remember lord Alfred Hayes, now he was awful imo

I do, he was terrible. Roddy Piper outed him for his taste in young women, in a recent shoot interview.

Agree 100% I loved how Bobby Heenan always sided with the heel in the match. Classic Heenan banter:

When the Rockers split up and HBK threw Janetty through the glass,

"Jannetty tried to dive through the window to escape!"

The 2 first real WTF moments I remember watching the WWF growing up was Jake the Snake being blinded by Rick Martell and Shawn turning on Marty.

"I got some bad news for ya."

They say things come in three's:

1st. England out of world Cup.
2nd. WWE.com is reporting some bad news about Bad News Barrett
3rd. (What next?)

Just finished watching The Ultimate Legend again and still can't get my head around the fact he's dead. For all the BS in the Self-Destruction DVD, HHH, Vince, Hogan and others show genuine emotion. Would have loved to have seen what if anything he and Hogan could have done together, although obviously not a match.

Re: WWE (no spoilers for 24 hours)

A shame as he was one of the best heel managers they'd had in a long time but his release shouldn't come as much of a shock. Although a talented wrestler he wasn't in anywhere near good enough shape for WWE and for about a year or so his role was limited to backstage agent, PPV commentary for the Spanish announcer team and assisting with NXT production.

If he can get in decent shape I wouldn't be surprised to see him back one day.

And the blood letting continues. Much worse people there who need to be sacked.
