Re: The Happy Thought Thread

One of my previous GP who was from India saw me for an unrelated issue. During the appointment he said go eat a vegetarian diet at your nans because you eat a lot meat on the other side of your family. Anyway he wrote me a strong vitamin d repeat prescription and said tell your future GP to not remove it. Fast forward a year or so after he retires, a GP from South Africa silently removes the vitamin d tablets and when chased I was told savers do them lol

Just do what I do and buy a bottle of Vitamin D3 from Amazon, I take 1 every morning seeing I'm not outside much and work doesn't have any windows.

I was on seven seas multi vita + cod liver oil and an extra lone cod liver capsule. Cod oil helps dumping food out your arse.

I haven't brought any vitamin d before. What is the iu dosage?

Under cooked prawns flush do that. How you can under cook prawns is beyond me but a quick colour change works wonders in the toilet.

4000 is very high.

The NHS suggests 400 per day is enough.

Quote:

If you choose to take vitamin D supplements, 10 micrograms a day (400 IU) will be enough for most people.
Quote:

Do not take more than 100 micrograms (4,000 IU) of vitamin D a day as it could be harmful.
I take 1000 per day.

I take 1000 per day.

Thanks I've been taking it a few years because working shifts means very little sunlight, but after your post I read up on if so will change my dosage likely down to 1000 a day.

I take 1000 per day.

I now take 2000iu a day. Now and again I have to take 50,000iu once a week for 6 weeks. These are liquid ampules that you have to take with a meal.

I was actually taking 4000iu + another 400iu from a multivitamin pill daily so I'm now going to stop the 4000 and in the darker winter months where I see very little daylight because of my shift pattern maybe take another 1000iu, I just hope I've not done any damage because I was taking the 4000 for a few years!

I've now binned my 4000iu pills!

I take 4000 iu with vitamin k2 and will continue to do so the slight risk of hypercalcemia is alleviated by the K2 as it makes sure the calcium leaves your blood and goes where you want it
