Re: The Happy Thought Thread

It's my first night in my new bed :D

https://www.silentnight.co.uk/silent...-mattress.html

I was expecting it to be softer but it's fine I guess with no chance of springs digging into my back  I had a 20+ year old mattress prior to my £70 mattress which I thought I'd get away with using a thick mattress topper but no a crap bed is a crap bed. There's no polishing it.

The new silentnight depth is nearly 40cm

Hoping to be strong enough to get out today to celebrate Mr T's 89th, first time outside for 2 weeks. :)

Thank you folks for your good wishes, we did manage to get out for a little while, I fancied advocaat and lemonade (snowball) but unfortunately they were completely out of stock. Although it was his birthday he bought me an iphone.

Which means you won't sleep tonight! That is what usually screws me over when I need to drive to work at 5.20am which is worse on the first night after a weekend, like tonight! I'll pop a herbal sleeping pill but not sure if it'll help.

I've grown out of that. I'm not sure what it was when younger I kept doing all nighters then sleeping during the day then rinse and repeat until I do all night and all day then sleep the following night. Thankfully that's no more.

I guess you don't have to get up at 5am though, this is a bad weeks shift for me but I prefer it than getting home at 10.30pm.

Had a home visit from a nurse sent by our surgery, in response to my communication to them re my concern about my unintentional weight loss, approx 2.1/2 stones since July. Blood pressure was 120/70, temperature normal, in fact all vital signs normal, with the bonus I had put on a little weight. :):):) :hyper:

Octopus produced my final bill, over 3 months late.

As a result, they credited the bill amount to my account, to pay it off, and gave me a extra £40 refund as well. :)

I survived the dentist for the crown preparation, probably the biggest and longest appointment I've ever had! I took the day off work so got a nice long weekend to chill out now.

I now realise just how barebones my old NHS dentist practice that I went to for 49 years with only 2 people where the receptionist was also the dental nurse!
