Well that looks weird, not sure I'll bother with that either.

Got to agree with you here Paul, neither appeal to me.

This isn't out till next year which is why I haven't put it in the tv schedule thread but one to put on your radar:

The sci-fi thriller centers on “the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines pulse-pounding action with a layered examination of how technology is invading our lives and transforming us in ways we don’t yet understand

Yep, this one is already on my list, its a mid season show, so as you say, early 2020.

annoyingly we are skipping a year again though, season 3 should have been this year. If it were any other series we might not be too fussed but this is so flipping good you miss it.

I mentioned a while ago that Netflix was making a Dark Crystal tv series. They have announced a premiere date of 30th August and some set pics are in the link below. It looks exactly the movie from donkeys years ago from that I can remember of it.

Coming in Autumn 2019 on Apple TV+ - For All Mankind.

What if the Soviets landed on the moon first and the space race never stopped.

An interesting question, but unless they’re postulating that Werner Von Braun was liberated by the Soviets rather than the Americans, there’s no way the USSR would have got a manned mission to the moon first, or ever. Their N1 rocket was just too dangerous.

I think they may have stolen the US designs, as the Sov cosmonaut steps down from something very similar to the Lunar Module.

It looks like it might be a great show.

Definitely an interesting topic.

Re: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and other TV Snippets

I like the premise but the one thing which is making me feel despondent at the moment is Joel Kinnaman. He was quite drab in Altered Carbon which a lot of people moaned about and I didn't think anything of it at the time and put it down to the character he was portraying in the series. Unfortunately the same performance was repeated in Hanna which leads me to conclude that it is the actor who cannot act nor portray any semblance of personality.
