They have been a Xmas treat for me since early childhood. Then they got "superfood" status and became too expensive for a long while. Then imports started of culinary pommegranate that are far too sour to eat raw.

Glad to report that large, sweet ones are in Lidl at 50p each now!

Pork ribs in Jack Daniels Chilli marinade for us in a few minutes!

Take 40 Exeter Uni students on a Friday evening and jam into a tiny country pub. Add any available alcohol and 'erbs and leave to stew for a few hours. Serve later with kebabs.

My wife has recently gone "anti-beef" so I made a Ragout Bolognaise with just pork. We couldn't taste the difference, but my wallet felt heavier!
