I was out at The Gadget Show Live for most of the day so I thought today I'd finally get it but no luck! Somebody up there must have a grudge against me, lol

I'm extremely jealous right about now! Meant to be an amazing day! Sit tight, you'll probably still get TiVo before me. Install on 12th May :(

received the email @ 3.30 today, it contained the phone number to call & the unique code. i called @ 5pm, got through within minutes & spoke to a lovely person who sorted everything out within 20 minutes. tivo is being installed on saturday between 1-6pm. she ran through all of the charges & how they will be implemented, double checked that i understood & offered me 215 minutes per month on 0845 numbers etc for an extra £2 per month. my wife wasn't interested, so that's that. bearing in mind that some have said on here they are allowed to transfer their existing box to say a bedroom @ no extra charge, i asked her what would happen to my box. she said the technician would take it away. so is that it? will i be called by the sales team & be offered this?

OK, have got Tivo setup, and its telling me that my full HD 1080p TV cannot do 1080P, it will only allow 1080i, is this a tivo issue ?? my old V+ allowed 1080p ???

There aren't any 1080p TV channels. 1080i is the best TV we get at the moment, so 1080i is correct

Your TV may be able to do 1080p, but the signal it's getting is 1080i (assuming that's what Tivo is set to)

I dont understand what people are saying about getting a £3 reduction, whats all that about ?
When my tivo is installed next week, my v+ box is going upstairs and I`m on vip 50, so when its all done what will the price be for vip 50 ?

Fair enough then, but I thought a HD channel was output in 1080p. I have learnt something today.

Most blueray discs output at 1080p, maybe that was what you were thinking of?

If you aren't going you have to go next year! :D There is a lot to take in but the Super Theatre (which is a separate ticket) is well worth the visit.

Got our e-mail this afternoon. Neither of the choices I selected were available, so I have ended up with an install on Thursday 28th April. Might as well have not bothered asking when I wanted it haha!

I assumed the initial sign up would have reserved that date and someone at the other end just has to press and OK button to approve it...obviously not ;)

I have a V+ in the lounge and a V box in my daughters room at the moment. Could I get a Tivo in the lounge, move the V+ to the daughters room and get the V box installed(new cabling) into my sons room, all done for free, and I would only pay an extra £9.50 a month on top of my existing bill?

I would call as they are normally changed over in a hour. But one of the staff will be able to advise better on this?

Yes you will but the price is dependent on what package you are on?
