It is just a joke.

2meg is 200kb not 250kb.

are you sure its not 16 kB not 16kb big differance

if its 16kb you need a engineer asap as your connection is very very bad.

If the answer to both is yes then why should they give you a subsidy for something you did not sign up for :erm:

Because the people who are getting 10mbit sighned up for 3mbit, so whats the difference.

16kbs is 16kbs Bill, yet I have seen other people on my connection uploading at 23kbs about, not much but enough to shave off alot of time when sending home movies to family in the states.

You're probably using bad servers, not every site can send to you at your max downstream rate.

With uploading you need to use icq/irc something decent, not msn.. to get a decent rate.

there is bits and then there is bytes windows displays its upload in bytes which would mean your connection would be 16kB*8=128kb which i would say is still to low. you are on 200kb=200kb/8=25kB which is approx figures.

Not being funny but are you sure you are on 2meg. Those figures are typical for 1 meg users

I have no problems with the 3Mb people getting the upgrade first , its there desire to have such speeds thatââ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s led to this upgrade in my view. Iâ₠¬ÃƒÆ’¢â€žÂ¢d happily sit here on 1MB but 10MB well that even better.

I cant fault NTL even when my friend is on Telewest 2Mb unlimited for the same price as my 1mb and heâ₠¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s only a few miles from me here in Glasgow.

I pay £24.99 and have checked on the site for cable modem configuration and it says 2mb.

While I get half decent download times I have known me have problems gettin 100kbs.

ICQ is a client I do use time to time to send files but I notice no difference. At least though I do admit it offers a restart on large files.

To be fair ntl are doing it the best way.

People who pay more should get it first since well they pay for that right.
Would you yourself be annoyed if you was paying £37.99 for 3mbit and some guy in another city paying £17.99 for 10mbit?

The area by area thing also promotes postcode lottery service which I dont like.
