Had a look on VM site but no idea where the costs are to change package.

Upgrade to up to 50Mb broadband and get free installation

Boost your broadband speed to up to 50Mb, and we'll cover your installation - worth £40.
You'll need to pay a one off £30 activation fee for Broadband XXL.

Currently if you want to swap a V+HD box for a V HD box you'll have to pay the standard costs which include a £49.95 HD activation fee

So to both at the same time would only cost the activation as the install of both would be free as it'll be covered by the broadband install offer

How many V+ boxes have you got in your package and the standard should be one V+ and a V-HD box?

I'm assuming he meant two V+HD boxes - which would make £110.55 the correct amount based on the pre-TiVo pricing

Yes it is two mate. So am I am right in saying it will be £10 less a
Month to go with a TiVo as I get to keep one of the v+hd boxes?

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package

I just upgraded from VIP20 to VIP50 and added TIVO (£107.05 with a 3rd box). I was told that I would be entering into a new 18 month contract which I felt was a bit extreme. I asked for either a 12 month contract or the same deal that new customers get with 18 month contract (6 month discount). I was told that VIP package was only for existing customers so I left it at that. Checking the website I can see that the VIP deal is available to new customers at pretty much the exact same price...

Should I be getting the same deal as new customers? Thanks for any advice given.

As far as I know VIP bundles without the six month offer is 12 months only. You should be getting written confrimation of the new contract which will include the term

Cheers Ben, that is what I figured. I didn't want to kick up a fuss at the time as the guy was pretty helpful overall and assisted with a couple of other issues that need to be resolved before the TiVo install.

I'll give them a call tomorrow and get it straightened out hopefully.
