Thanks for the kind words folks. :)

Yes he's fine now and co-incidentally, we're due to see his consultant tomorrow. Sadly, he's been having more fits than normal over the last few months so he's going to need a third medication (he's already on the highest dose of both the others he has to take). :( It's all a bit worrying as it's almost a trial and error situation we're told so we're just praying that it works and he doesn't have any serious side effects.

Thankfully, he's a strong, happy lad and, despite all his problems, he brings us so much joy and we treasure every day with him.

Well we've all just started to take it in turns to cook each night of the week, and my turn was tuesday, and I had to peel some potato's with a (in my opinion) useless peeler, so she bought me one that I can actually use :D

He'd had a fit and an ambulance had been called as the staff had encountered problems administering his emergency medication. It was there when I arrived and you can imagine how I felt as I ran in. Anyway, he was out for the count and looking very pale when I found him but after some basic tests in the ambulance and a lot of questioning and form filling, I was able to take him home.

I tell you what, the smile on his face as he came round in the ambulance was utterly priceless and couldn't fail to make anyone feel happy... :)

Glad it all turned out ok :tu:

Jeepers your heart must have been in your mouth Osem, and all the time all he really wanted was to see his Daddy, bless! Seriously though, I hope they can prescribe something that will ensure his fits can be kept under control. That would be one worry less for you and Mrs.:hugs:

Well it's a done deal - a third medication to be commenced after Xmas unless things go pear shaped beforehand. The paediatrician has recommended something that's usually well tolerated by children with only minor side effects (if any) so hopefully he'll be OK and then we can think about reducing his original medication if all goes well. I don't like him having to pop so many pills and potions but it's all a bit 'suck it and see' like really. Fingers, toes and anything else we can cross is being crossed right now.

Anyway, all the best to those of you suffering trying times too - I always try to remember that there are plenty of people far worse off than we are.

It seems to have taken a long time to get to this point but I have just spent the morning doing what I used to think was one of the most boring things in my world, prepping canvases. It feels soooooo good to be getting back to work. :)

Put it into perspective - you will live a life without pain :) A small inconvenience of an operation is well worth it in the great scheme of things :hugs:

I suppose one good thing to come out of all this is not to take things for granted - so glad you are feeling much better :hugs:

Everything crossed that the medication will work without any side effects. Hope your son is now feeling much better ;)
