Loads of good press for auntie at the moment, there's this, the meet the next PM debacle and now they can't even get the mastermind final done without controversy, if I were 75+ I'd ask for a refund

It's a bit like Tax cuts everyone wants them but they still want the same NHS, Police and public services. Not sure whether pension credit is the right criteria for free licences, but not sure what else they can easily use, and as mentioned pensioners watch the most TV. |

I wonder how much it costs Virgin Media to run its UHD channel? It only broadcasts during prime time, but the programmes are good and there are no advertisements. That is the kind of quality they should be seeking out for all of their broadcast hours, and maybe we wouldn't be so annoyed with them. If they can't find anything good for daytime, they should close down during that time and save money. If we want to watch rubbish, there are plenty of other channels out there doing that already. |
Re: BBC to scrap free licence fee for over-75s
Here just a bit of old news for some people who do not know the seriousness of not paying for a TV licence... yes that oblong box that sits on the sideboard or fitted to a wall.

Re: BBC to scrap free licence fee for over-75s
Just received my letter today telling me that we will now have to pay the TV licence from next June unless we are on pension credit. So I better start saving now.
