Only read this page of the thread but Corbyn may have good ideas but is not and never will be a leader.

He was a europhile before being elected and then had to be a proEU leader?????

Get real!

I must say that Corbyn's doing an excellent impression of a Brussels Eurocrat - head in the sand, total denial, everyone else is wrong, there are no coalition tanks in Baghdad...

It's truly laughable and what's even sadder is that there are still some folks out there who think Corbyn is a breath of fresh air.

Jeremy Corbyn loses no confidence vote by 176 to 44.

in which case they wouldnt have to wait so long. An earlier general election makes this coup even worse.

So how will all these backstabbing MP's act when corbyn is voted back in as leader again?

The previous leader miliband and acting leader harmen were just rubber stamping tory decisions, thats not a credible opposition.

OK. As leader, what has Corbyn done? Seriously. The reason i ask is I cannot find any evidence of him having done any more than he would have as an MP, both before and during the Remain campaign.

I mention the referendum as regardless of whether he was supporting the Leave or Remain campaign, he is opposition leader during a process that could have serious consequences for both the country and our I political system. I would expect him to have faught tooth and nail. I would expect him to have been on every TV and Radio show he could. Loathe him or Like him, David Cameron did that. All I saw from Jeremy Corbyn was a couple of emails that, frankly, could have come from an admin assistant in his office.

As an observer I cannot say I remember anything of substance regarding corbyn he has been very much a grey man and at this time with everything going on I would have expected a half decent leader of the opposition to be making ground and taking at least one of the many easy shots at the current government. He is conspicuous by his apparent absence from current events which may please some labour voters but I'm guessing most are asking the same question as the rest of us "where is the opposition".

He's actually being a truer politician than all of the rest.

He was elected by the Labour party (not MP's) and until his party tell him to sod off, he ain't going to shift.

It shows conviction for one thing, something no other politician seems to have.

Shame that, it's the only thing he has, and it's only in that area.

Even CMD said it wasn't good for the Country to have an opposition so useless.

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig

While he has personal qualities that may be admirable they mean nothing if they don't translate into an effective opposition leader and he is anything but. Right now should be political opposition Xmas and instead we seem to have a competition between labour and conservatives on who can implode biggest and fastest it's totally ridiculous. Never has politics in the UK been lower then it is right now and we the electorate have to take our share of the blame, for too long too many of us have voted colour rather then best person for the job and it's coming back to royally bite us.

As l understand it, someone else from the Shadow Cabinet is resigning. As Corbyn role is now Untenable.

I have today sent two emails to Labour Party HQ, and also there is an email on the Internet, from the Labour Party, that l have signed.

Mr Corbyn has no option but to resign. Labour MPs are falling by the wayside. And the party is falling to pieces.

Labour need a strong leader, to take on an Election, which is almost certain for October. As the new Tory leader, will want another five years (heaven forbid)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Arthur but the chances of labour winning an election this year or next is about as good as me winning the lottery.

Rizzy, l totally agree with you. I think as soon as the new Tory leader I announced. He or She will go straight t the Country

Labour is in total chaos at the moment. And l am ashamed to be a Labour voter

The 10 biggest unions have just posted a joint letter, which whilst supporting Mr Corbyn, is somewhat ambiguous...

http://www.union-news.co.uk/breaking...ent-on-corbyn/
Quote:

Jeremy Corbyn is the democratically-elected Leader of our party who secured such a resounding mandate less than ten months ago under an electoral procedure fully supported by Labour MPs. His position cannot and should not be challenged except through the proper democratic procedures provided for in the p[arty’s constitution. We urge all Labour MPs to abide by those procedures, and to respect the authority of the party’s leader.

While we have stated that we believe a Leadership election would be an unwelcome distraction at this time of crisis, if one nevertheless occurs through the proper procedures we would expect all parts of the party to honour the result and pull together in the interests of the country, and working people in particular. The only party that can win for working people is a strong and united Labour Party.

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig

That union response seems very by the book not overly supporting corbyn but not overly backing the mp's all very half hearted which I think is labours problem at the minute. There is a clear split between the labour membership and how they voted last year and the reality of corbyn's tenure, I'm not going to call it leadership as it doesn't qualify by any of the usual markers of leadership. I've had a quick look much as my fuddled head will stand at the minute but this momentum organisation looks very unpleasant and something I'd have expected to see in the old days in eastern Europe not what 21st century uk is about at all.
