lol thanks! I just wish they'd hurry up and put the rest of the bloody missing Sky HD channels on. As my bills will be going up by £5.75 a month I'd expect to see more HD channels being added. I'll be happy then!

Nah! Most of that increase was to pay for 'free' BT sport, not new stuff;)

Makes sense, they are available FTA on DSAT.

I think it would be a good idea to put all FTA satellite channels in addition to the Freeview channels into the M package. This would appeal to those not interested in Pay TV and/or who want an easy way to record programmes and would allow VM to compete by offering the best of both FTA platforms.

Based on previous "mistakes" on the Virgin website I'd say it indicates it's on its way, but you never know.

VM may not be allowed to do so. Why would freesat for example, a rival company to VM, allow VM free reign to all their channels?

Yup, has indeed been the case once or twice in the past.

Better lookout for Sky Atlantic's logo cropping by mistake in February too then;)
(or any other fictional date someone wants to throw around)

Not really. The like of YouTube, Netflix and Lovefilm are currently testing 4K with a view to launching it this year. TV will need to keep up, unless of course this fulfils the prophecies that we're moving away from live linear TV to on demand content.

Still don't see a TV below 50in benefiting from it though.

4k TVs are only available in 55" and higher I think.

My 37" TV is also my computer monitor so I would love a 4K TV of similar size to make the screen sharper.

I see that at CES 4K Blue Rays and games are starting to become available and that some 4K TVs are already less than $1,000. It will soon be something many people can afford. It can't be too long now before Sky launches a 4K channel as they always seem to be quick off the mark. I wonder where Liberty Global is on this. Personally, 4K is much more attractive to me than 3D.
