Formula e looks like it could be good, the cars look amazing, there's some great pedigree in the paddock and some really decent drivers.

I'm just not sure where it fits long term given the recent rule changes in F1, but I'm desperate to be in London for the final race.

All we need now is a British win on Sunday.

In Cableforum related news here "Liberty Global and Discovery Communications interested in acquiring a 49% stake in the sport.

The media groups, which are controlled by John Malone, have been in discussions about a deal that would involve acquiring the F1 shareholdings of CVC and the estate of Lehman Brothers, the former Wall Street banking giant."

Formula E cars can't do full race distance on one charge so the appropriate point the driver will swap cars, should make for interesting scenarios if one of them takes a tumble.

Yes indeed. Although the cars are only homologated for the first season, so I'm sure we'll see longer possible distances as the series progresses.

As a Williams fan I hope so too! They bottled Austria and this is their chance to make amends as far as I'm concerned.

I think Hamilton's chances are pretty slim as I think his best hope was probably rain, and that possibility is apparently subsiding, and there is a chance Hamilton will have to start from the pit lane as they're changing his brake supplier. You never know though, the Williams cars are probably the best starters on the grid, and Massa has jumped to the lead from third at this track before. That's even more of a possibility as the stewards are letting track limits go here. If Williams can hold up Rosberg for enough time to stop him pulling away while Hamilton works his way up, and factor in Hamilton not making Q3 so having tyre choice, especially given that this looks to be the least conservative tyre of the season so far, then it could make for a decent race. Very little chance of a safety car, though, so he's probably going to have to do it all on his own.

It wasn't to be, Den, but an excellent race full of incident from start to finish, so I'll settle for that.

About time another team won a race. Hated it when Red Bull had it their way, now I hate Mercedes for it. Why can't we have 2 or 3 teams fighting it out for a win, instead of a procession that either cheating Rosberg or arrogant tax dodging Hamilton isn't leading.

What we need now is for Rosberg to have another DNF and then we will see what he is made off.

Merc might have led most of the season, but what's gone on behind them has been far from a procession. And when all things have been equal the front two have had some decent tussles as well. Williams are definitely closing the gap and I think there is a chance of a win for them before the end of the season, and let's not forget this is the first year of new regs which has meant that the team's aren't able to.change too much until next year. I think this has been an awesome season so far and, with Williams continuing to improve, McLaren and Ferrari under new management with a brief to improve (and the former having a new engine supplier), Renault improving the engine powering Red Bull and Lotus jumping ship to Mercedes, next year could be even better.

Don't forget double points in Abu Dhabi. There's a long way to go yet before Hamilton needs to hope for a Rosberg DNF.

Forecast to be sunny and dry tomorrow, a bit overcast on Saturday with a small chance of a thunderstorm, followex by a much stronger chance of storms on Sunday. Could we see the first wet race of the season in Hungary this weekend?
