Jailed for 21 weeks.

The guidelines are:

Starting point for a single offence. 6 weeks with a range up to 18 weeks.

The higher sentences seem to be reserved for ongoing, premeditated abuse or threats.

While she deserves everything she gets you can't deny that she has been dealt with far more harshly than the guidelines suggest she should have been because of the media interest and when you compare some gobby bint having a drunken rant getting locked up with repeat offenders getting community service or suspended sentences it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Also, although I can't find it in the story now, there was a reference to a previous conviction for a similar offence.

In 2008 Woodhouse was fined following a similar offence on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), the court heard.

Racists are free to go about their daily lives, as they should.

Those who display *racially-offensive behaviour* should be dealt with based on whatever crime they commit and it's seriousness.

We could try educating them so they aren't so ignorant, its probably a far to far out suggestion for us to try so perhaps we should just do with her what we did to the Somali women who racially abused and beat that white woman a few months back, remind me how long they spent in prison again

I agree ,racism is essentially only an opinion at the end of the day and only education changes opinions

When I see people behaving like this and other disgraceful acts, I often think back to that film Equilibrium with Christian Bale, maybe people like this should be put on drugs like those in the film, heh.

She does come across as drunk and/or confused. Not that that's an excuse, but she doesn't seem 'right'.

Some say people are at their most honest when drunk. ;)

Anyway it'll be interesting to see how this incident is treated by the authorities.

I just tell people how much I fancy them and want to sleep with them.
it's true at the time, but not true in the morning when he or she asks me what I want for breakfast :)

You think the drunkeness will excuse her?
