It looks like Virgin are going to increase prices again this year in August , that will be 2 increases this year (about 13%) with extra VAT in January makes this years price increase over 15%. I can not continue to pay these increases. Thay tell me its down to market forces.

This is sad news as i`ve just joined and I also thinkk this is very sharp practice. I`ve just phoned to cancel and i`ve been told this will be within 24hrs but no reference etc was given.

Is this the normal...

And do they pick the superhub up?

How can it be sharp practice when they have informed you well in advance of the increase.

£13.91 for a line without default caller id, only weekend calls is a bit of a rip....

There is no doubt that it is a rip off but l need to have a landline because of my health and have to use a home monitoring kit that downloads information to the hospital.

But not sharp practice as that would mean that the first time you saw the price increase it would be on your bill.

Bless your heart, hope this increase don`t affect you too much.

Ok if your happier will stick to rip off but i`ve just had a reality check.

Phoned BT and their phone line rental is also £13.90 but that includes evening and weekend calls and Caller Display.

Thankfully after the red mist has cleared i`ve rung Virgin again and had a good old chat and we`ve made an agreement..

So were all cool now xxx

No we are very practiced in budgeting in our household but yes criminals have the easy life now and the victims have to come to terms and pick up the pieces.

im hoping they will give everyone free caller display (obviously not free like) but in technicality add the price of caller display to the line rental and make caller display free

Can you please give a source for your future suggested price increase of 13%?

I note that the line rental is increasing from £12.99 to £13.90, an increase of only 7% but can see no evidence, other than your spurious claim, that there is any proof of any other increase.
