Re: Caller Display "No Longer Available" after port

Thanks to this thread I've just been on the phone with a lovely Scottish lady who was really helpful :)

I'm in Poole, area reference 20, I didn't get my switch number, but she looked up on the computer (I could hear her typing away) and said it wasn't in my area yet, but noted that it should be available in the next few weeks. She was aware of and up to date with the fact they were rolling it out.

So fingers crossed in the next couple of months I'll finally have it after waiting nearly 10 years LOL!

When I called yesterday I was informed there was no timescale information available for any switches - although the CSR was aware of ongoing upgrades.
Seems a bit strange that they are not working to a schedule! - perhaps they do a lucky draw every Friday for the switch to be upgraded the following week ;)

They are working to a schedule - however Customer Services don't know it .

They get told which areas are or aren't enabled because the schedule may get changed.

Just checked again in Southampton (Area 20) and it's still not available on my switch yet.

not sure what area/switch I am on, but ex c&w in Addlestone (Surrey) - and comes under hersham for tv, though expect phones are different.

just rung up VM, and not available here, and like others, no idea when (although dont believe the 'to far away from exchange' comment - queried, and have escalated as not a proper reason - prefer the truth as opposed to the 1st thing that sounds plausible to some - however, happy to be proved wrong).
