You can sign up for the NFL Game Pass on DAZN to watch every game including NFL RedZone, the Playoffs and Super Bowl LX. Both the TV 360 and Stream boxes have the DAZN app.

I turned my Stream box on and it said it had had an update. I didn't check before, but the Sky Sports+ service was offering three different courts on the tennis and three different holes on the golf coverage, working, so I assume this is fixed now.

Got the following SMS from Virginmedia today, I didn’t know there was a problem. I have a V6 so maybe this issue is with the TV360.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure your TV box stays connected to a wall socket with the switch turned on for the next 72 hours while we do a software update. This should fix some issues you may have been having with Sky Sports+. In the meantime, you can watch Sky Sports on the app or on skysports.com using your Virgin Media login details.

TNT Sports 5-10 red button channels will be closing soon , any extra sport coverage will available via HBO Max app (TV 360/Stream) according to a pop up message when you access the service.

I get games "sent to me" so no cost . Just seemed be be a good coverage of the games on the Irish offerings, but it was a press release, so who knows.

It's mainly the ATP challenger tour and some archive footage, not the main ATP and WTA tours.

It's also available on the likes of Pluto, Rakuten, Prime, and the channels on LG, Hisense, TCL, and Samsung.

Yet again clearly 360 not needed to get this channel, starting to appear that the 360 is playing catch-up with bog standard smart TV. Keep looking for a reason to move over , and failing to find one , would need more than that to jump:dunce:

Virgins plan is that by the end of 2027 all of their TV customers will be using the 360 software.

A massive part of this push will be that from the 27th of this month anyone putting through a change to their package will be informed that the 360 upgrade is now a requirement.

Today might be a good time for anyone not looking to do the software upgrade to be reviewing their bundles.

So it's a trumpton , we plan but who knows , have sometime left to run so will just stay as I am, thinking that if and when it happens it will be freely* and a way to get sky and alibi

Thankyou for the info. A relative of mine, who I just about persuaded to keep their V6 at last renewal, was out-of-minimum-term in 2months.

There was a very reasonable renewal offer in their online account, so they've re-contracted today. I know these online offers got some bad press in the past, but there was less than £1 between their current & offer price - so price-certainty for 24months is a good outcome.

Our 24months is up in early 2028, I can probably suck-up TV360 sometime by then....

Hi japitts, your relative might need to keep an eye on their online renewal, the last 2 times I renewed through my account offer nothing happened and it went up to the full price for the package. I took screenshots of everything and the old virgin forum team sorted it all out both times with a better deal. Those were the days. :)

I was actually more concerned with the package being manually keyed in after the "cut-off", but all the PDFs were generated as part of the process, downloaded & screenshotted at every stage, and all dated correctly.

On the whole TV360 vs V6 point, I still can't help but think something's wrong when a new product has to be forced/encouraged (use whichever word you prefer) rather than selling itself. This isn't a VM-specific thing though, Microsoft have the same issue with Windows 10 vs Windows 11.

We got the email today.

It basically says the V6 will soon be unsupported and will eventually lose some features/functionality.

It’s human nature. I know several people who refused to switch from analogue to digital back in the day. Some people just don’t want to change to anything new.

The issue is strategic: the Horizon 4 platform is the only one which enables VM to deliver IPTV, and this is unstoppable. As the V6 is based on TiVo, it has to be replaced by the TV 360 or Stream.

Anyone who wanted TV but refused to switch only made life more difficult for themselves. All you had to do was buy a Freeview box for £20 to £30 (or £40 for the box plus installation and support), and in some cases it was free for eligible older or disabled people.

In the case of VM, the V6 will be retired but you are offered a migration to the TV 360 at no cost, and with no tech visit needed. It beggars belief that anyone will reject that if they still want Pay TV.

For the umpteenth time, it is inferior to the TiVo V6 as 360 is missing so many features.

This is why most, including myself, will keep the V6 for as long as possible. Yes, the day will come when the V6 is discontinued (reports of anytime between July & December 2027) and people will then have to decide whether to accept it or dump Virgin.

Claiming that your opinion represents the opinion of most other customers is ridiculous. It is your opinion and you are entitled to that, but plenty of others are perfectly happy with the V6 and all the benefits it brings.

The majority of customers(2m of them) are still with V6/TiVo. If the V6 is to be discontinued, then those 2 million and the others with V6/TV360 will have to be replaced. Even merely changing the V6/TiVo to V6/TV360 would involve replacing 2m remotes.
My concerns with TV360 are related to recording and playback. Pretty basic areas of functionality.

You like the TiVo, we get that, but many people disagree with you when you say that the 360 is a ‘downgrade’. You may think that, because of the way you use the TiVo, and some on this very Forum agree. However, I don’t believe the majority of people are that bothered, because they like the voice controls, profiles, the look and appearance of the UI, the simpler menu, and so on.

Have you contemplated getting a TiVo television? That might be the best solution for you when the TiVo is discontinued on Virgin.

Interesting. What is wrong with recording and playback on the 360? I haven’t noticed any problems with recordings at all.
