Are you planning on using it for gaming? LG TVs may suffer bad gaming lag so beware.

Quote:

Console Gaming
LG’s flat-screen televisions, particularly high-end ones, have been notorious for high input lag in recent years, but things seem to be taking a turn for the better in this department. In the [ISF Expert1] mode, the 42″ LA620V returned an eye-watering figure of 143.7ms from the Leo Bodnar input lag tester. However, engaging [Game] mode slashed this number right down to 43.4ms. Whilst not the quickest, this should prove responsive enough for all but the most demanding of hardcore gamers out there.

Through a bit of due diligence I found out that the nexus 10 units scan were selling on their eBay site as new were in fact refurbished.
Only by my badgering them and contacting eBay did they remove the listing and relist as refurbs.
Now the quandary, do I send the 2 units back for a full refund or accept the fact that they are what they are and keep them. Both units come with a full RTB 12 month warranty and the price was reasonable.
Scan have refused to offer a extended warranty (I asked for an extra 12 months as a gesture off goodwill which they refused to do)
Both units are in mint, no marks condition, one had a used charger, the other had a new charger. One box was mint the other was a bit battered.

It happened to me with a DAB radio which was advertised as new but came with and big 'Refurbished' sticker on the back... It was less than £30 so I lived with it and it's been fine to date but, for what you've paid, I think I'd send them back and save up for new ones.

Unfortunately my tablet is an extension, extra appendage etc. My wife still has her tab 2 but it's unusable for me, I've always had fast tablets and whilst it's ok for her, for me it's as slow as a first gen smart phone.

I've emailed them again, not expecting a result but stranger things have happened.

Other than their deceit the tablets are fine, my wife is chuffed with hers. Quandry:shocked::dunce::sleep:

Now that's a no-no. Whilst MOT's are a stupid nuisance and far too over picky on things that have nothing to do with the safety of vehicles, insurance is another issue completely.

Someone's going to tell you in a minute that having no MOT cancels the insurance :)
