Come through town on the M8. then take the Great Western Road until you get past Arrochar. There's plenty, so long as you don't mind walking uphill a wee bit to get at it. ;)

No, I'm afraid it's still very much Jimny-sized on the interior. :disturbd: Barely room to swing a cat in there. Tis fine though, we bought it mainly to use as a rescue vehicle, so there only needs to be room for a driver, a few bags of shopping .... and the time rotor, of course.

I somehow convinced myself :erm: Not sure how I managed it. The idea of a Halloween camp, with fancy dress Friday night, booze, and a bonfire Saturday, seemed appealing. I thought, "Tent... camping... haven't done that since I was in the cub scouts", and through misty eyes I booked for the trip :erm: Probably freeze to death.

After last nights snow there was a big freeze, it took twenty minutes to clean the windows so I could drive to work.

There where chucks of ice on the windows, boy was it cold -5.

I set off for the school run at 8:30am today (we slept in so didn't set off earlier, like planned).

School is 2.5 miles from my house and the roads were covered in snow, so was gridlocked all through town. We got to school at 9:45am :shocked: (usually takes 15-20 mins in rush hour)

Then i had to get to work which is 3.5 miles from school - didn't get to work til 10:45am :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked:

I spent most of Tuesday at the Chill Factore indoor ski slope in Manchester. Some school near Oldham had block-booked a load of lessons but the kids couldn't get in - because of snow!

I went for a nice walk in it last night, reminiscing about the days of listening to radio to see if school was closed!

We've had snow on and off over the mountain tops for weeks now - I've more or less forgotten to notice it, except when we get a rare flurry at our altitude, which isn't often as it tends to be sleet at best by the time it arrives here.

Still, I'm off for a walk just now, so I'll take the camera - Ben Lomond has a nice white cap at the moment.

Thank you ... I only managed to get one decent one in the failing light - and everywhere north of here is cloudy, so I couldn't get anything of the other mountains, which is a pity as they're really snowy. Still, here's Ben Lomond, shrouded in cloud and snow. You can just about see the summit above the clouds, slightly right-of-centre in this photo.

Hubby will be the one with the car tomorrow..if they need me for work it'll have to be within a taxi ride distance and I reckon the taxi's will be very busy under such conditions. :erm:

Don't think I've ever seen this much in my 10 years in north surrey. Normally the London effect warms things up enough that it just about covers the ground if it even lays. Now there is some 2 inches thickness and it's still falling.

Tomorrow morning is going to be rather interesting getting to work. I have rather a habit of playing bumper cars in snowy weather :(
