2nd v6
Having a long discussion with virgin regarding a 2nd v6 . Help forum says it must be connected by coax .she insisted that it can be either wireless or by hdmi as it is a 2nd box. She said she would let the forum know that the answer is wrong . Well guys which is correct . The worry is both answers come from staff at virgin !:erm:

It's a shame that they aren't more like Ben & Spiderplant who clearly care enough to learn the facts to do their jobs properly & help others in their own time too. |

Re: 2nd v6
All boxes require coax for delivery of the linear broadcast channels. The only things delivered by internet are On-Demand /App content.
Linear broadcast channels are only streamed by VM on their mobile/tablet Go app service. |
Re: 2nd v6
What cheekyangus said. All VM boxes need co-ax.
(Did the agent really say "either wireless or by hdmi"?} |

Unless I’m mistaken, that applies to recordings, not live TV

Re: 2nd v6
Pardon the pun but are we not getting our wires crossed here? It looks to me that the op is looking to establish how the 2nd V6 is connected to the VM network, whilst the VM employee thinks the op wants to know how to connect the 2nd V6 to the original V6.
The answer to the first scenario is by coax (with F-connector) whilst the second scenario can be either wifi or Ethernet (with Powerline adapters in my case). Don’t know where HDMI comes in right enough. |
