A controversial movement has made its presence known in Devon after footage from Ilfracombe appears to show people associated with an online group deliberately causing damage to a traffic light on the High Street.

The group, which calls itself the Blade Runners, claims the sensors fitted to traffic lights are far more than simple pieces of traffic-management equipment.

They describe the devices as “phased array electronic assault weapons” and claim the technology can cause a range of serious health problems, including heart attacks, brain cancer, anxiety and even sudden death.

The group has gained attention following footage shared online which appears to show a woman interfering with equipment attached to a traffic light in Ilfracombe.

The video, which has been viewed more than 120,000 times, shows the woman using a tool to cut wires connecting the equipment to the traffic-light system, while a man stands below her…

… In posts shared online, the Blade Runners describe the "electronic assault weapons” as “illegal battlefield derived technology” and allege that manufacturers and authorities have misled the public about its purpose and safety.

The group also disputes the suggestion that the equipment is simply used to detect pedestrians or assist with traffic flow.

According to the Blade Runners, the devices can "kill humans when focusing on a target".

However, the medical and technological claims made by the group have not been independently established and remain allegations made by the Blade Runners.

Today, we’re announcing that we’re transferring the ongoing management of these email services to Junara, a specialist and dedicated email provider owned by Atmail. This means customers who want to continue using their existing Virgin Media email address, as they do today, will be able to move their service to Junara, who will provide a dedicated email platform with improved security features, ongoing service management and specialist support.

Alternatively, customers who do not want to move to Junara will have the option to download their emails and documents and move to another provider of their choice, including free email services, or simply close their email account if they wish.

This change will impact anyone with a Virgin Media email account, including ntlworld.com, blueyonder.co.uk, virgin.net and virginmedia.com email addresses.
Customers have three clear options and time to decide what they want to do:

Option 1: Sign up and move their existing email service to Junara
Option 2: Download their emails and data and move to another provider of their choice
Option 3: Close their existing Virgin Media email account

Customers will have at least 45 days from receiving their first communication to decide what action to take. We will contact customers in phases, starting in September, with clear instructions and details of the support available.

We are also providing an additional 120-day window to support customers who may miss initial communications or need additional help throughout the migration process.

During this period, email accounts can be recovered if necessary, helping ensure important emails, documents or photos are not permanently lost or deleted.

If no action is taken after the 165-day window, the email account will be permanently deleted.

Current customers of Virgin Media’s broadband, landline or TV services will be offered the first 12 months of the new email service free of charge, subject to a 99p transfer fee paid to Junara. Customers who have told us they need additional support will be offered the first 18 months free of charge.

Former Virgin Media customers who no longer have broadband, landline or TV services will need to sign up to a standard plan with Junara if they want to continue using their existing email service.

Customers who do not want to transfer to Junara can download their data and easily move to another provider of their choice, including where there is no cost involved

When I use the direct Identity Recovery Tool, it accepts my username and my security password perfectly. However, instead of taking me to the screen to link a new third party contact email, it immediately drops me back to the main login loop. The sub account is also completely missing from our primary account holder's dashboard profile. I need please a Forum team member to escalate this to the IT team to manually link a new non Virgin contact email to my ntlworld profile so I can generate an App password. Thanks in advance.

Because we are fitting a new kitchen we are short of cash so expensive solutions (over £40) are out.

My wife has requested some means of being notified of an incoming call on her mobile phone when she is gardening and doesn't have her phone with her.

I have found devices available in the US but not here (ditto) but similar devices here aren't quite right, most are more amplifier type devices and are mains powered.

So now thinking either a cheap "smart" watch, there are some on Amazon that look like they will do the job, don't care too much about accuracy of steps but don't really want to share lots of data just to notify/link calls to the phone. I understand this sort of device will pair to the phone and use that. Now thinking on those lines, a simple speaker may do the job too and let her listen to material. This won't let her answer remotely but she will hear the ringer.

Any ideas/comments?
