In adapter properties, advanced, preferred band... set accordingly but doesn't play ball. 
 
Drivers are up-to-date  
 
The usb adapter is meant to be top tier :( any ideas please?

Shocking. It only supports 20MHz width. I think predecessor Netgear AC1900 A7000 performed better!</div>
