Is there a problem with SMTP?
I can receive emails but not send.
I've just sent a mail no problem and just received it...

Here's the error from outlook xp:
Task 'pop.ntlworld.com - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

That should be pop.ntlworld.com, as opposed to 'pop.ntlworld.com (note the ' at the front-or was that a typo?)

That is a copy and paste of the error message, I'm assuming its enclosed pop.ntlworld.com - Sending and Receiving in ' because that is what outlook was doing at the time the error occured.
I'm in Stafford too and I haven't been able to send mail for the past 3 days or so.
Have any of you reported your mail problems to ntl Tech Support?

JUst found out that my firewall was stopping me from sending mail. (f-secure)
It auto updated yesterday and that is when the probs started.
Try turning your firewalls off and send mail again.

Thanx to tech support for helping to find the problem :tu:
It's definitely not a firewall problem here. I've tried loads of things right down to even uninstalling my AV and firewall software and it still doesn't work. :(

Mines been ok for a couple of days now.
What I ended up in doing in Outlook is to remove the ntlworld email account completely and add it in again and it has worked every since.
