Email problems in Swindon area ?

Anybody got email problems in the Swindon area (SN3) ?

Outlook XP says my incoming POP server cannot be contacted and indeed I cannot ping it (although to be fair I am not sure whether I could before). SMTP server responds OK though.

Might be a coinscidence but until I removed my manual proxy my browsing was sslllllllllooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww too but that seems to have freed up now.

Wouldn't you know it, the moment I pressed Submit the Bl***y thing started working like a good'un.

In my defence the wife says we have not had any email all day which is definetly not right considering the number of catalogues she's subscribed to.
