Where should I start?
I felt I'd mention this game as I was one of the testers, Helped out testing onsite as Brat is co-owned by one of my mates.

Take a look at some of the screenies, I think it looks impressive and I am trying not to be biased.

looks good though :)To Be honest the First Demo, was a beta demo, had a lot of bugs but showed the game off well. The second demo was scripted by the publisher and is well, ****e.

There has been reports in Germany that the netcode is not up to much. I pre-ordered the Limited Edition German version and although I am happy, I wished I couild understand German. Gonna ask the guys at Brat if I can have the english exe files.

Have you seen some of the crap Germans enthuse over? It's mostly Pr0n games, it's no wonder David Hasselhoff has a rather succesful solo career there. I wonder what's at number one and two in the charts.

I've discovered a german review for Breed, now it's been released there, only 71%, not looking good, I don't think I'll be parting with any cash for it now.

Compared to some of those games doesnt seem so bad does it?

German release has dodgy MP anyway. Seems theres a patch coming to get MP up and running effectively.

Yeah been a bit of a hoo haa over that one, seems they always give poor results to anythign that isnt called HALO.

Never mind, Game went on sale in the UK today, lot of people got theirs delivered yesterday and feed back so far sayd its above average.

Cant really ask for any more.

The UK edition seems a bit more polished than the German release from a few weeks back that simply put wasnt finnished.

Youve read the forums then? You seen whats a happened?

I checked the original textures (Courtesy of my stable and working dev build) to the released textures, there have been some changes. When you look into the mission scripts files, there are changes made by the publisher CDV. Brat released a patch for the game, CDV had to change it because they released code that was submitted to them in November, not the final build code sent by the devs.

I guess all in all CDV have signed their own death warrant, they will be bankrupt soon and it will be good riddance to a ****e publisher.

Look at what the sites reviews say compared to the people who actually bought the game, theres a difference. I just read some of that review and its got nothing new in there that hasnt been reported on the boards, makes me wonder if they did actually play the game or read other reviews and didnt bother. There is a lot of things they missed from the review, and it seems they missed the fact it was meant to be like starship troopers and also like halo, that has never been denied.

All in all yes the game does have some problems created not by the dev but yes makes the dev look bad. But that review is a sorry excuse for journalism. If you go and read some of the other reviews they describe things better, they just dont make it sound like they PERSONALLY dont like it, which is somehting a reviewer should never do.

I think the term for this game is just .. "mediocre". Compare it to Far Cry that came out fairly soon after and it looks like a bargain bin title. I was one of the people all hyped up when the first screenshots were released, then I waited, and waited, and heard excuse after excuse about why it was delayed, and buy the time it was released there were far better titles to tit around it.

Well I read the gamespot review and from the game I bought last week I have to agree with them, had problems installing it for a start off, dire start up loading times, dated graphics, poor frame rates for something that looks as old as it does should run better. Awful lag in the multiplayer game, poor sound effects....I could go on

Either way its an awful game and it's going back!
