New TV recommendations

Hoping someone can help me here...

I'm about to upgrade my AV kit and am planning to buy the Philips LX9000R DVD-R/CD/speaker combo. I am planning to couple this with a decent 36" wide screen (flat) TV.

What one would you opt for?

go for a lcd 30" mate they are awsome mint picture ive just bought one today and can use my pc on it.

Not sure what your budget is, but if you are really serious, check out the rear-projector from SIM2. Forget what you know about rear-projector TV's. This has re-written the book! Bright enough to be clear in a light room, and can be viewed at an extreme angle. Miles better than any plasma I've seen.

Sony would be my choice. The picture on them always seem to have that extra bit of definition over other makes.
