Dodgy Text messages

Over the last few weeks or so, my family have been getting text messages that say the following ...

" You have 1 new ARP voicemail message. Please call 0871 712 4737 to listen to it"

We're on the O2 network, but wanted to make you all aware that this is a scam, and that it is in no way related to your normal voicemail messages.

As per the advice, delete the message.

My girlfriend and myself have both had them on Orange phones as well.

Lesleyann gets about 20 a day on orange. We are both on Orange using talkshare... I spoke to data services last night and they claim that they have stopped them.

The alert comes in as " you have new email in your orange email account " Strange as Lesleyann does not even have an orange email account ! :confused:

I get them as well - Since I have never heard of ARP I just delete them.
