Just heard this on the news, and found it in the Telegraph.
Repairs on new M6 toll road ("")
Traffic cones appeared for the first time on the new M6 toll motorway yesterday as repairs were ordered a month after the £900 million route opened.
Two lanes have been closed and a 50mph speed limit imposed on a 330-yard section of the southbound carriageway after engineers found an "unevenness" in the surfacing. The roadworks are expected to last a week.
Midland Expressway, operators of the £2-a-car highway, said the likely disruption to drivers was minor. No discount on the toll would be offered.
The company opened the 27-mile route north of Birmingham seven weeks earlier than contracted, insisting that it was in perfect condition.:(
