Based on what a few others have been saying .... lets get this sorted once and for all :D

Which are the easiest to know Men or Women, you know the least confusing, the simplest etc etc.

My vote is that Women are confusing, devious, strange creatures, that Men will probably never understand, whereas Men, nice simple creatures that tell it like it is ... not devious, underhand etc etc.

Well I've probably started a war now .. :D .... but come on place your vote ..

Interesting observation bexy but it actually mostly relates to men as yes we do tend to understand ourselves reasonably well. If you ladies have one big disadvantage it is that you often do not fully understand yourselves.

Hence the difficulties in making choices for yourselves like "is this the right pair of shoes for me?" or "Would I feel happier if all the furniture was moved around to new locations in the room?" and lastly the ability to discover for yourself the answer to, "Does your bum does actually look bigger in any specific item of clothing?"

This fully explains our inability to ever be able to come up with an acceptable answer when we are asked to comment on any of these and similar propositions. :)

This in turn is what makes it even harder for us poor mortals to understand all you dear sweet

hmmmmm i can see your point but i do think it is possibly a sweeping generalisation, see women seem to verbalise their confusions more than men do, thus it seems as though women are generally more confused than men, but having mostly male friends i can say that some men are just as confused (and i dont necessarily mean in regards to sexual orintation) as women

Fair point Bexy :)

But it is the grain of truth in the generalisation that is at the heart of most jokes.

<serious mode>There is actually some very detailed work that has been done both by sociologists and psychologists on the reasons for the differences in gender perceptions on these issues which does establish both the existance of, and explanation for, these generalised differences and also explaining the exceptions.</serious mode>

But I just say "Vive la Difference!!!!"

Life would be terribly dull otherwise. :)

Okay time to post again before running. My vote is that women are easiest to know and get along with. For me it seems that men struggle to talk to each other properly at times but also because some find it difficult to listen properly too.
In my experience I have always found it easier to talk to women in regard to certain topics since there's normally no "macho bullsh*t" getting in the way ;) but then I do know some idiot blokes so that may explain it LOL
We all get confused sometimes though, that's all part of the fun :p and I'm not quoting any part of Sociables first response (the one with the bum reference)since my Kevlar underwear is in the washing machine and I value my health :naughty:

yaha there has been a LOT of study on this issue....i think that socialisation has a lot to do with men and women's different approaches, guys are bought up (generally) being told things like "big boys don't cry" etc, so they learn to hold in their emotions, so they dont seem like a wuss.... whereas women are (generally) bought up to be more maternal, to care about people and want to make them better, and not to hide their feelings.....

sociable your last point put me in mind of something that dave said to me the other day.....

"each snowflake is an individual, you are like a snow flake an individual................................

just like everyone else"

edit: one question i have for the men is, why, when a man says/promises to phone you on say friday night, does he not call you for at least two days, but when he doesn't arrange to call you specifically, he calls you every day?

Well I find women Easier to get along with as long as you stay in the 'friend' Zone, as soon as you move into the 'Relationship' Zone all manner of wierdness and confusion starts.

Like one of Bexys friends mentioned above I can tell when most of my friends are upset or if somethings on thier mind without them having to say a word. Main difference is that if its a male I might aswel not bother asking coz most wont say anyway (Applies to about 9/10 of my male friends). If I ask one of my female friends whats wrong I will normally get a response though often its censored to make them look more in the right or if its about something sexual to not make them look like the Whoe they think they do (Though often its just her imagination running away with her, this also applies to about 9/10 of my female friends).

To summarise....
Men: Often very simple creatures, but anything complicated and you will have a hard time finding out what it is.

Women: Much Much More complicated but that makes them more interesting, and if you learn to read through thier Censorship Can be quite easy to understand.

I think I read something written by Douglas Adams that could be used to describe women. He was talking about the Universe though.

It went something like "when we finally explain the Universe, it will promptly cease to exist and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable".

I feel that way about women sometimes. Having said that, women probably feel that way about men as well..

:D
lol, thats very good :D (reminds me of the 'Dildo song')
the ladder theory can best be summarised thus: Men place women on a 'ladder'depending on their looks/avalability/attractiveness/whether they will sleep with them.
Now....heres the tricky part.....Women have two 'ladders' one for Friends (the 'I see you more as a frIend' kind of thing-ie the kiss of death :D ) the other for men they would like to sleep with (criteria for acceptance on this ladder vary but the author seems to think that 'bad biker man' type ranks very high)
Problems arise because men often don't know which ladder they are on (or even that there are two ladders in a womans mind!)
If you are on the friend ladder and you think you are on the 'potential lover' ladder you may be in for a bad time :D

That's why I included the ladder theory in this discussion :D

how many guy friends do you know that if they had a chance of sleeping with a woman they wouldnt try any hanky panky they would just sleep?.

your lover/intended is supposed to be your best friend, good friendships are the base of good relationships.

how many guy friends do you know that if they had a chance of sleeping with a woman they wouldnt try any hanky panky they would just sleep?.

How many girlfriends do you know that if they had a chance of sleeping with a man they wouldnt try any hanky panky or any teasing they would just sleep?

Woman are as lusty as men its just they like the man to make the first move.

oh i have just heard on Fox news that 22yr old Britney Spears was married on Saturday, a bell hop was her best man

yaha i base all my relationships on friendship.....hence i am still in touch with all of my ex's

people are capable of sleeping in the same bed and not trying anything on.....i have shared a bed with a guy and nothing happened...alright i admit it he was gay :erm:

ramrod you may call me "cruel" but i am being honest....

and yes to whoever said it women do become syncronised

I only have ONE!!! :naughty:
