just tried to watch a video of only fools and horses that someone had recorded for me
"it's ok", they say, "apart from the first few minutes being missing"
put it on - what happens? - the picure is flickering so badly it is unwatchable - look for what I once knew as "the tracking control dial"
which this machine does not seem to have
so the show is reduced to essentially an audio show
I am laying on the floor fooling about with this control and that
checking scart leads and the like - you know the sort of thing I am sure
so I abandon it
will wait for a rerun methinks - rather than sit there to watch the last 20 mins of the show all sweaty and angry after a good blaspheming session with the setup
only to find the final 2 minutes fades into world bowls or snooker
