Beijing authorities plan to issue special cards to married women that will allow them to get condoms for free from vending machines placed throughout the city.

The machines, which will begin operating next month, will initially appear at 100 different locations in the city of 13 million people, the Beijing Times reported.

At the start of the pilot project, 60,000 married women will be issued with cards that entitle them to 12 packs of condoms a year.

It could possibly be to do with the Chinese aim of 1 child per family. I'd say that they are still far too straight-laced to issue condoms to single people.

yeah you can get free coondoms from the fmaily planning clinic...which is a top idea, they also give free and confidental advice on all matters to do with contraception and are generally better to talk to than your GP because they are specialists
