It's going to be interesting.

Big Ben will be missing for Pittsburgh due to having an emergency appendectomy. He had just recovered from a motorbike accident that nearly killed him.

You could well be right, good defense. As long as TO doesn't have his usual falling out they are in with a shout.

Be interesting to see how the Phins do. If Culpepper can regain his form from a few years ago they could be a force.

Well Bledsoe started off where he left last season throwing 3 picks. Abraham was immense for the Jags.
Falcons looked pretty good.

Redskins and Vikings are up tonight (tomorrow morning) on Five. Will have to set the Sky+.

Good win for the Bears 26-0 at Green Bay :D

The first time Green Bay have been "shut out" for 15 years, looks like they could win the division again this season. :D

Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription. So it looks like I'll have to make do with the highlights, unless I can find a live stream from somewhere.

Thanks for the info though. :tu:

i'm amazed how long some of the players have been going - I used to watch American football many moons ago, so when I do catch it and I see someone like Drew Bledsoe, and they have still got the skills - wow! :tu:

Bledsoe is having a pretty poor year.

His O Line didn't help much last night.

Da Bears looked pretty good last night.

Looking at their schedule their next 5 games are all against teams with losing records (with the exception of the Giants who are at 500).

I wouldn't be surprised if they end up 10-0. Then you meet the Patriots for a hammering. ;)

Bledsoe may be having a poor year, but I'm still amazed that he's still playing. hmm, am presently watching the replay of yesterdays game - i see what you mean... no wonder Troy Aikman always looks so smug when they cut to him!

The patriots haven't had things all their own way though. They lost at home to Denver in week 3, and only just scraped past buffalo by 2 points, again at home in week 1.

We shall see ! ;) :D

Oh well, looks like I won't be going to the Chargers/Rams game after all. The cheapest tickets (in what my friend referred to as "the nosebleed seats") were $74. Getting seats where I'd be able to watch the game without the use of binoculars would cost me $150-$300. :(

Going to watch the college football (SDSU Aztecs vs Cal Poly Mustangs) on the Saturday instead. The most expensive ticket for that game is a massive $30 (and they're playing at Qualcomm Stadium for that game). Should still be a great atmosphere.

No didn't see it. The saturday night game between the Cowboys and the Falcons was a cracker. As was Eagles - Giants.
Should be a good game tonight Colts V Bengals.

The Chargers are looking good. Rivers is looking far far better than Manning Jr.

Broncos' cornerback Darrent Williams killed in drive-by shooting (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/01/01/bc.fbn.broncos.williams.ap/index.html)

DENVER (AP) -- Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting early Monday, his limousine sprayed with bullets in downtown Denver.

Team spokesman Jim Saccomano said police called him about 3 a.m. from the scene and told him three people had been shot, and the 24-year-old Williams, a former Oklahoma State star, had been killed. The killing came hours after the Broncos were eliminated from the playoff race.

:(

Not good is it.

Don't know how true they are but they are reports saying it stemed from an arguement in a nightclub over the Broncos not making the playoffs.

What a great weekend of football. Some great games.

Patriots at the Colts in the AFC Championship game. I predict another Brady Belichick playoff masterpiece and Manning to choke.

Saints at the Bears in the NFC Championship game. As much as I want the Saints to win I think they won't be too fond of the cold and the Bears will win it.

Patriots - Bears Superbowl - rematch of Superbowl XX.

The Chargers were robbed! Unfortunately it was by their own players. They made far too many stupid mistakes for a playoff team.

15-01-2007, 15:35
They certainly didn't help themselves with the personal fouls on 4th down and after the TD.

Did any one notice during the Saints game the blonde girl in the crowd who the producer focused on? He was obviously to busy checking her out to read her tshirt which said, in big letters "F**K DA EAGLES"

Johnson may not go to Miami

There's one Chicago Bear who still doesn't know whether he'll be in Miami for Super Bowl XLI, and he won't know until Tuesday morning.

At half past nine in Courtroom 108 of the 2d District Municipal Courthouse in Skokie, Ill., defensive tackle Tank Johnson and his attorneys will ask Circuit Judge John J. Moran, Jr., for permission to leave the State of Illinois. Without Moran's permission, Johnson won't be going anywhere.

The early indications from Moran are not promising for Johnson, who is charged with violating probation as the result of a police raid on his home and the seizure of six guns and more than 500 rounds of ammunition.
