why is it that you can't check before you order whether or not you can get telewest? only that it is available in the area.

With NTL you're told there is an account already at the address.

It doesn't really make a difference whether there is already an account at the house- in the house i am in now, we have 3 seperate ntl accounts. You can do the same with telewest.

If the checker says it is available, then in 99% of cases you will be able to get it- it's just that sometimes it is subject to a survey.

in the house I'm currently in I had to wait till the person who had telewest moved out before I could get it.

not able to order on line with either nl or telewest if theres already an account. I'm always told there is already an account in the property.
