Remember, it's cryptic. Some words in the questions have multiple meanings...

How many questions are there per round?

I got the first two:

1. The clue is in game; an animal to be hunted, two popular variants, (three actually), with ivory pieces: Elephant.
2. The word you're looking for is actually mentioned. It is word. Add and 's', and you get Sword, and the 'er' sound becomes 'or'.

I'm stuck on 3.

Jon M
10-12-2003, 17:39
there are twenty questions in each round .. and as far as i know there are 5 rounds maybe more

i'm on round 2 question 7.. but as i'm the thread starter i thought i'd be best to get everyone going before i start jumping ahead.

3. the clue is in the title

danielf

/me didn't think you were s'posed to give PD answers away, just hints to them

but still...

I am still stuck on 1.15 - no amount of cut and paste is helping me with this one, I have the imagination of...something with a very poor imagination :dunce:

I'm begging for a hint - I really have got the idea of what to do, I just can't make a bl**dy picture out of it! Hints really would be appreciated *insert crawling & general sucking-up emoticon here*

The OP did request for answers to be given. There's a thread on digital spy (http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/t/101565/1dc4d6e9fa986fb2f15d6814d5a67ae7ds.html) on this one. People there are ahead of us, and they are giving hints rather than answers.

As a clue: say the words represented by the pictures quickly. This gives you the word to type in. You can probly guess it on the basis of the first three pictures. The first and third are easy. For the second, you need the name of the figure portrayed. Try searching google images with something like egyptian gods. You will probably find one that looks very similar.

Thanks for the help. Worst thing is, that about 12 oclock last night i jumped out of bed when the answer popped into my head.

Do you think i'm hooked? :p

I looked at question 15 last night but wanted to actually go to sleep so i didn't bother thinking about it.

Having looked at it now, i think i may need a printer which i haven't got access to. is there any more clues (not answers), but clues i can have without printing it?

Each line yields a word and all of the words have a similar theme.

For the second one, Ag is the symbol for silver, and sunday school is RE, rearrange the letters and you get RAGE.

Have forgotten what the actual answer was, will report back as soon as I can log on to the page which seems to be down at the moment.

Jon M
15-12-2003, 13:38
Line 1 - ? (Something with an "a" in it!)
Line 2 - cross (Relates to Sunday school (christianity), and fury) edit: rage fits better as the answer is the first letter of each word then
Line 3 - g**l
Line 4 - u*****e (anagram of "bear mug" means to take offence)
Line 5 - e**********n (anagram of "expert on Asia", meaning frustrated)
