Just thought I would mention it
in case it was some sort of error with the site

each time I go to view a thread I get

"a runtime error has occurred
do you wish to debug?

line 36
error: object expected"

I think the problem is with your browser, not the site, works perfectly for me.

Doesn't matter how old or new it is, have you tried clearing your temporary internet files?

Tools/internet options/advanced place a tick in disable script debugging and take the tick out of display a notification of script errors.

Job done.

Ah yes, this old chestnut. The debugging options are usually switched off by default, but sometimes they get turned on (so to speak) by other programs.

To to Internet options and select the advanced tab

Ensure the disable script debugging box is ticked and that the display a notification about every script error box is unticked.

Also check that a program called "mdm.exe" is not running. If it is then kill it, as it can cause the debugging option in IE to be re-enabled every time when your computer reboots.

Remove it from your startup programs list by going to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run & HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run in the registry and deleting anything which has "mdm.exe" in it - its usualy called Machine Debug Manager. Or if you do not fancy rummaging round in the registry, then download this handy utility (http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml) and run it. The interface should be pretty self explanatory.
