Telewest have launched brand new phone packages with inclusive minutes that can be used on landlines locally and nationally, mobiles, interational landlines and mobiles, non-geographic numbers. There is 200, 400 and 800 minute packages available at £20, £28 and £40 respectively.

You will need to redial after 60 minutes to avoid beinf charged. Call outside of these minutes are charged at Talk Weekend rates except weekend national and local landline calls which are 1p (all calls outside have the usual 6p connection charge).

Yes we connected to talk anywhere 200 today, seems good value.

They do seem good packages at first glance. The one annoying thing is the rule where all weekend calls are charged at 1p per minute plus that 6p connection charge and so your package minutes are not available at weekends. The thing that is not made clear is if the minutes used for any weekend calls are included in your package minutes. Surely not! It is also worth checking that there is not a 6p connection charge for each call you make within the package.

No. Because there will never be any charge for weekend calls made when you are on the Talk Weekends package, they are pointing out that should you go over your limit on the Talk Anytime packages, you will be charged 1p per minute (plus the 6p connection charge) at weekends. And no there is no 6p connection charge for calls made inside the package. :)

We are a bit thick and we have got it wrong. After rereading all the terms and conditions we now can see what they mean.

After the package minutes run out you are charged at Talk Weekends rates which are 3p day, 2p evenings and for them free at weekends. But for the Talk Anywhere packages the cost at weekends if your minutes have run out is 1p per min and 6p connection charge on all these calls outside the free minutes..

Yes that was my understanding of it aswell Bob.
If we are within our 200 minutes each month we will make a saving of around £7 a month.
Not to be sneezed at.
