View Full Version : Inexpensive portable MP3 player recommendations please
Subject says it really .. I'm thinking of getting one as a present for a daughter, but can't afford an iPod! Can anyone offer recommendations
on a good combination of sound quality, feature and price? I don't want to spend more than £100, and less if possible. Or should I be considering another technology?

I have a MPIO FD100 mp3 player, hardly touched and I want to dispose of it as I have acquired an iPod.
It cost £180 about four months ago. It has 128k memory which can be doubled by inserting a smart media card. It has built in FM radio and voice recorder and can record from the radio. It also has a remote control with a backlight. It uses AAA batteries so there is no having to recharge if you don't use it for a few days.
It is still boxed and the earphones have not been touched. Colour is silver.
I'd let it go for £100.

I've got a 128 meg Creative Muvo. I got it for £67.00 off EBay, & I really can't fault it. :)
They now make a 'Muvo NX' (which has a display on it) for about £120 (that's RRP though, so you could no doubt get it cheaper if you hunt around)

Every time this subject comes I always mention the same MP3 player and the same place to buy it :D
Ok get a Nex IIe I have had one a year, I have used it in the car, when I'm jogging and even when roller hockey training and it still works like the day I had it. 128 MB flash card will hold 5hours of music if it is in WMA fomat, and you can get one with 128MB card for £118. Go here for it www.advancedmp3players.co.uk :)
