Help needed.

Okay I know it's here somewhere but I can't find it.

Everytime I click on a link and the new page opens, it only opens half screen.
Now please don't say click on the large square in the top right corner.

I'm sure there is way for this to be set to always open on full screen. And by full screen I don't mean the F11 screen. :shrug:

Tried all I can think of but having caught up on recent threads I'm afraid my brain is a little brain dead.

Open the link, manually resize the window and then close the source window. Normally works, will go look as soon as I get off hold to NTL CS

How about

To control the size of primary and secondary IE windows, start by closing all IE windows. Then launch IE, right-click on any link, and choose Open in New Window. Size the secondary window the way you want all such windows to be. Now close it by clicking on the X icon at the top-right corner while holding down the Shift key. Repeat this for the primary window that remains.

Click the Restore button first which is located on the top right corner
of the window between the Minimize button (-) and Close (X) button.
This will shrink your window to the center of your screen.

Then, bring your mouse pointer to one side of the window until it turns
into a two-headed arrow. This indicates that you can drag one side of
the window either inward or outward to fit the monitor's screen. Do the
same thing with the remaining three sides. You can even do this with
the four corners of the window to expand diagonally.

Once you have the window occupying the monitor screen, the Restore
button turns into a Maximize button. Click on the Maximize button to
finish the operation.

I used to have the same problem and could only find 1 solution. The problem is that the 2nd window is using the dimensions of the first one when it is NOT maximized. The solution is to resize the first window by dragging on it from it's borders. Here are the steps:

1 - Open 1 instance of Internet Explorer
2 - Click on the Maximize icon (restore down) so that it is NOT maximized
3 - Stretch the window to be full screen by dragging on the edges of the window
4 - Close Internet Explorer to save the settings
and one more for good luck LOL

Close all windows EXCEPT the one that open "minimized"; right click on
your Task Bar, either on the open space on the right or left end (your
choice); select "Tile Windows Horizontally" and IE will maximize;
close IE. Re-open IE and it will be maximized.

alternatively.. get yourself a decent tabbed browser like http://crazybrowser.com or http://www.morequick.com/GreenBrowser.zip

both of which are customised front ends to IE.. so you won't lose any functionality

(greenbrowser being my favourite of the two)

then wave bye-bye to extra windows.. (and nightmarish memory usage)
