I've got a 10Mbps modem and I'm using an NTL home 100 modem.

I'm still having problems with my connection under load ( http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=44274&highlight=seirrsh )
..and I'm wondering if a change in modem will help. I've spoken to technical support and they are just no help whatsoever, I don't think the language barrier helps at all.

I'd be charged £50 for a new modem, I'd pay it if I knew that my problem would be fixed.

So why didn't you carry on your old thread?

I felt it got moved into an odd section, I need support on my cable modem rather than talking about applications etc

So to recap, is it JUST torrents that are slow?

It's not a case of the speed, it's my connection that 'dies' under load.

I've found another thread in this section that covers the problem I have. It's a cable modem problem.
